Mesjid Raya Medan

North Sumatra provincial capital, is the largest city in Sumatra and the third largest island after Jakarta and Surabaya. Many historical places you can visit in Medan. Masjid Raya Medan is one of them. Moorish-style mosque in Jalan Sisingamangaraja was built in the Dutch colonial era in 1906.


Still in the same place, a palace built by the Sultan of Deli in 1886 standing next to Park Street Deli Katamso. Besides the mosque, in the field there are also many museums, such as the Military Museum on Jl. Zainul Arifin that offers a different view. No longer relying on architectural charm, this museum has a collection of guns and other weapons, including weapons of war for independence era. In addition, there is also the Museum of North Sumatra on Jl. HM. Joni. The museum was founded 20 years ago to store a variety of historical and cultural heritage of the Batak and other tribes in North Sumatra.
